Is the Safeguest verification link safe?

Yes. The Safeguest verification link is a secure and safe link used for identity verification and deposit processing.


Can Safeguest be used with Uplisting Guest Identity?

No. Safeguest replaces both:

  • Uplisting Guest Identity
  • Uplisting Protect (Security Deposit)

These must be disabled when Safeguest is enabled.


Can Safeguest be enabled per listing?

Yes. Safeguest can be enabled:

  • Per listing
  • Per booking channel

Will I still be charged for Uplisting deposit or identity features when using SafeGuest?

No.When Safeguest is enabled:

  • Uplisting Guest Identity is disabled
  • Uplisting Protect is disabled

You will not be billed for these features.


Do guests have to pay the deposit?

Yes. Guests must choose one of the following:

  • Refundable security deposit
  • Non-refundable waiver

There is no option to skip this step.


Do bookings made before enabling Safeguest require verification?

No. Safeguest only applies to bookings created after Safeguest is enabled.


Does Safeguest require Stripe to be enabled on Uplisting?

No. Safeguest identity and deposits are handled by Safeguest.

However, keeping Stripe connected is recommended for booking payments processed through Uplisting.


Safeguest option is not visible

If you do not see the Safeguest option on Uplisting's Identity & Deposits page, check your listing currency.

Safeguest is currently only available for listings using GBP currency. To update the currency:

Listing → Pricing → Base pricing → Currency


Safeguest cannot be enabled

Safeguest requires the Uplisting Guest Identity feature to be disabled. If Guest Identity is enabled, you will need to disable it before enabling Safeguest.


Guests are not receiving the SafeGuest verification link

To ensure guests receive the Safeguest verification link:

  1. Confirm the booking is Confirmed
  2. Add the safeguest_verification_link custom booking attribute tag to your automated message:

The verification module is not showing on the guest booking page

The Safeguest verification module only appears for confirmed bookings.

Pending bookings will not display the verification section.


A booking does not show Safeguest verification

Safeguest only applies to bookings made after Safeguest was enabled.

Bookings created before Safeguest was configured will not include the verification link.
