How to update the photos displayed on the Google

The photos displayed for your listing on the Google page can be added/changed on the Photo's tab of the property on Uplisting.

Click on your property on the calendar > Details > Photos

Google will take random photos to display. This is controlled solely by their internal algorithm. If you re-order or add photos, it will take at least 2-3 weeks for this change to reflect.

Introduction

Uplisting provides a direct booking widget which you can embed directly into your website. This allows guests to select a date range, number of guests and location (optional).

Once a guest selects their criteria and clicks the submit button, they are directed to the search listings page of your Uplisting direct booking website, where the appropriate properties are displayed.

Why activate Smart Locks?

Activating Smart Locks allows you take full control over automating the entire guest check-in process. Uplisting creates a unique door lock code for each guest reservation. The unique door code can be dynamically inserted into your automated guest messages using the {lock_code} message tag.

How does a smart lock work?

A user creates an access schedule from the Smart Locks Dashboard. Then, our software creates a PIN code specific to the lock and the desired schedule. When the PIN is entered into the lock, the lock verifies the code via its built-in algorithm to allow access.

Introduction to connecting to VRBO

VRBO ) works a little differently to Booking.com and Airbnb in that Uplisting will create your listings for you. This is great as it saves you lots of time, however, this also means you need to ensure you have your listing content ready to go (Uplisting does most of this for you automatically).

If you already have VRBO listings, the VRBO team can link them for you. Take note of your property (or unit) ID.

How to publish your listing on VRBO

1. Go to the Listing, then Booking Sites Tab. Find the Vrbo booking site

Select the Publish button on Vrbo (API/XML) booking site on the listing you wish to publish.

2. Enter your company name (only asked this once)

When connecting your first listing, you'll be asked to enter your business name. This should be a recognisable name as VRBO will use this to identify you and your listings.

3. Check if your listing is publishable

3a. If you have provided all the necessary information, you will be able to publish your listing using Publish button.

Make sure to check your taxes and fees (eg. cleaning fee). You should also upload your own rental agreement and check your cancellation policy (Uplisting provides a very basic default rental agreement and sets your cancellatio

You can now create Booking.com accounts and properties directly within Uplisting. You can also publish your existing Uplisting listings as new Booking.com properties, all within your Uplisting account.

From within Uplisting, you can now:

Create a new Booking.com account
Connect an existing Booking.com account
Publish Uplisting listings directly to Booking.com as new Booking.com properties
Connect existing Booking.com listings
