Using Request to Book (Website Builder Plus Plan)
With Website Builder's Plus plan, you can offer Request to Book as an alternative to Instant Book, just like on Airbnb.
How it works
- Guests submit a request with their details and payment card
- The card is securely saved but not charged
- You review the request and accept or decline it
- Payment is only taken if you accept
Enabling Request to Book on a listing - Plus plan
The default listing setting is 'Instant Book'. You can mix booking types across your portfolio. For example, Instant Book for most properties and Request to Book for your highest-value listings- On your Uplisting account, click on the Direct tab on the left panel
- Click on Individual listings
- From the 'Individual listings' window, click on the Settings button next to the listing you want to enable Request to Book
- Under 'Booking Types' select 'Request to Book'.
- A confirmation prompt will appear, advising that switching to Request to Book will delist the listing from Google Vacation Rentals, as Google requires channel manager-connected listings to use Instant Book. See this guide on Instant Book Requirement for Google listings
- You can confirm the switch by slecting the 'Switch off Instant Book ' button
The listing will automatically switched to Request to book. You can always switch it back to Instant Book, as needed.
