Adding Google Ads Tracking to Your Direct Booking Website
You can add a Google tag to your Website Builder to enable Google tracking, including Google Ads tracking.
Before you begin
You will need your Google tag ID from Google Ads. Google tag IDs can have different prefixes, including:
AW-for Google AdsG-for Google AnalyticsGTM-for Google Tag Manager
Google recommends using a site-wide Google tag to measure website and ad performance.
Finding your Google Ads tag ID
To find your Google tag ID in Google Ads:
- Log in to your Google Ads account.
- Go to Tools.
- Select Data Manager.
- Under Google tag, select Manage.
- Click your Google tag.
- Under Tag details, copy your Google tag ID.
Your Google Ads tag ID may start with AW-
Adding your Google tag to the Website Builder
- Log in to your website builder by clicking the Login to website builder button on this page
- In the site editor, click on More > Settings.
- Select Google Tools.
- Enter your Google tag ID.
- Republish your website to save the changes.

Important: Tracking Google Ads conversions
Adding your Google tag ID allows Google tracking to be added to your website. However, tracking a specific conversion, such as a form submission, booking or purchase, may require additional configuration.
Depending on the conversion you want to track, Google Ads may require:
- A conversion action to be created in Google Ads
- Additional event configuration
- Google Tag Manager for more advanced tracking
Google Ads can also support URL-based conversion tracking for certain page-load conversions without additional code, depending on how the conversion is set up.
